Summary
Hindi PDF Editor is a local-first Android app. You pick PDFs from your device, edit text, and export a new PDF. Core editing stays local. Only content you explicitly submit to AI OCR or Translate is sent through our secured API to Google Gemini.
Data We Collect
We do not sell personal data. The app has no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or account system. Our AI API transiently processes content submitted by the user and stores only anonymous daily quota records; it does not log document content.
Website Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID
G-1K5ZEEBHE5) to understand aggregate traffic on
hindipdfeditor.com. Google Analytics may process technical information
such as page views, browser/device details, approximate location, and
referral source. PDFs you open in the tools are not sent to Analytics.
This does not change the Android app's local-first behavior — the
app has no analytics SDK.
Data Processed On Your Device
The following data stays on your device unless you choose to export or share a file:
- PDF files you open through the Android document picker.
- Text edits, masks, positions, and page state used while editing.
- Rasterized page images used for preview, editing, export, and on-device OCR.
Optional AI OCR and Translate
AI OCR sends the selected page image, and Translate sends detected source-language lines, through api.hindipdfeditor.com to Google's Gemini API. Both actions are optional and require explicit user input.
The Gemini credential is held only as a server secret and is never shipped in the app or requested from users. Gemini response storage is disabled. Submitted content is not written to our quota database or content logs; Google processes it under applicable API terms and privacy practices.
Web Translate (Hindi ↔ English)
The browser tool supports both directions. It sends detected lines, not the whole source PDF, through the secured AI API. No API key entry or account is required. Export creates a new PDF.
Permissions

The app uses Android's system document picker and does not request broad storage access on modern Android devices.
Children's Privacy
Hindi PDF Editor is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Data Retention
Document data is controlled by you on your device. Uninstalling the app removes app-private storage. Exported PDFs remain wherever you saved or shared them.

We may update this policy. The in-app privacy policy link and this page will point to the latest version.
